9 Weeks

Friday Morning Smiles - I'm Home!

Wednesday 3 p.m. = Discharge.
Yay! Mom and I were, like, see-ya Long Island College Hospital! We are outta here! Going home with my Mommy. Daddy is gonna be there. Its gonna be the best!

Thursday.
I had sushi again. My Dad told my Mom she could have whatever she wanted. My Mom looked happy. And she had Fried Green Tea Ice Cream too!

Friday.
My Mom and I went to see my Doctor, Dr. Baker this morning. I hadn't seen her in almost two weeks. She had grown so much!!! Oops, I mean, I had grown sooooo much. Guess what I weight now? Guess? Come on, puh-lease. I'll bet you one of my patented smiles that you won't guess.

13 Pounds, 13 Ounces.
Yo soy El Chunky Monkey.

Oh, did I mention that my height is off the charts. Yes, off the charts, you heard right.
25 and 1/2 inches.
Soon I will be taller than my dada.

I also got to see my friend Courtney on Friday night and her boyfriend Adam. Courtney and I go waaaaaaaaay back. She met me when I was like 1 day old or something. I know her my whole life!! So, we chatted about old times. She was like "blah, blah, gooo, gooo gah" and I was like "Totally! You are sooo right!" It was fun. Then my parents played Rook with Adam and Courtney. They laughed a lot. I was like "boooooring" and went to sleep.

On Saturday, we all went for a walk in the park in the morning. It was fun to be together with both of my parents. They pushed me a poorly-paved path on Lookout Hill to go bird-watching. Bird-watching is pretty boring for an almost-nine-week old. My parents saw typical stuff like American Robins and European Starlings. They also were able to identify a White-Crowned Sparrow and spot a Baltimore Oriole.

Saturday night I saw my Uncle Eli and Aunt Chris. I love them. They are, like, cool.

and that's my crazy Uncle Eli again!!

On Monday, I turned 9 weeks old. Happy Birthday to Me! Yeah!

Me and My Piggy

Well, I certainly continue to meet new people and explore new places. Okay, the same places. My parents pretty much take me to the same three places: bagels, fajitas and sushi. Oh yeah, of course, the lattes.

This week I met Neal's friends John and Nicole at, where else? Elora's for those sizzling fajitas. The food was excellent. I had this white tasty stuff which my mom told me was tacos. It still came out of her breast but I call it "tacos" now. Plus, I got a present: a Swiss Flag outfit. I am going to be so cute in it.

Later in the week I met even more family. My Great-Uncle Richard and my Great-Aunt Debbie. I say "Great" in more of a complimentary use of the word rather than an age-based usage. Well, Richard and Debbie came all the way from Boston to see me! I thought that was pretty cool. We hung out on Friday night and went for a long walk in Prospect Park on Saturday. My parents was trying to sell them on Brooklyn. They were trying to sell my parents on Brookline. I was trying to sleep and be held as much as possible. We had a fun time and I watched my first Red Sox - Yankees game on Saturday. The Yankees need serious help with their pitching. I am trying to work on my arm strength. Here I am hanging out with them:

Oh, and My Little Piggy Picture, that's from the Bromfields. That is totally my favorite doll.

Sunday was a bit more complicated for me. On the one hand, I got to meet even more people. I even took my first adventure into that Manhattan place where we had brunch with Natalie and Eric. Natalie is my personal shopper. She buys me the cutest things, check out my Cole Haan moccassins:

Then, my parents took me to my Aunt Christina's House. Mom and Dad went to a baby shower (what is up with all those showers?) while I stayed with Aunt Christina. We had fun together. There was a weird creature there that kept trying to lick me. What is up with that? Here is that Nessa dog thing looking at me.

Unfortunately, by the time my parents got back, something bad happened. Aunt Christina noticed a little pimple on my butt. That stupid abscess again!! My parents called the doctor and I had to go back to the hospital again. I am so tired of the hospital. My parents told me that they will take me to a nice hotel if that's what I want - as long as I don't go back to the hospital. Its terrible there. They poke me and put things in me. It makes me sad. I am a pretty good patient though. It just stinks that I've had to be there so much. I turned 8 weeks old back in the place I was born. That sucks. I know I'm not supposed to use that language, with my age and all, but its true. It just sucks.

My Mom rules though. She never left me at all, like ever. Everytime I moved, Mom was there. I feel pretty lucky about that. She is the BEST MOM EVER. That's right, I said it and I'm standing by it. She, like, loves me. Its true. She slept in a gross chair for nights on end. Gosh, Mom, I love you sooo much - from here to the Moon.....and back again.

7 Weeks

Its pretty busy being a 7 week old boy. Its all "hey there, hey there" to try to get me to smile. Come on, I may be 7 weeks but I'm not dumb! I smile when I want to smile, when I pass gas - isn't that when everyone smiles?

Well, this week was pretty cool. That so-called "mom" lady left me alone with the "smelly guy" and the one they call "Grandpa" for a while. Mom went to Christina's baby-shower in Manhattan (apparently some far-off place where my parents rarely venture). In Mom's place, I was left with a bottle and, boy, was I hungry! I actually did surprisingly well considering Mom was off galavanting and drinking mimosas. I didn't freak out too much and the Grandpa guy held me for a while too.

My Dad is back to work during the weeks these days leaving me totally alone with Mom - how cool! We take little walks and she gets froo-froo drinks with names like latte and well, latte. We then hang out all day. Its pretty cool. She holds me. Occassionally I yell for room-service:
"Change me!" "Wipe me!" "Hold me!" "Feed me!"

Yes, I communicate a lot with !exclamation marks! I find that I generally get better service from Mom and Dad the more I demand it. Hey, a kid has to have standards.

6 Weeks

Hello World.

I've been pretty busy recently, learning how to hold up my head better and smiling. I am definitely learning how to laugh. I'm trying anyhow, I haven't got all of my coordination together quite yet.

Here are a few pictures of me learning how to smile. Its kind of hard for my parents to get those photos just right because, I admit, my smiles can be quite fleeting and I am somewhat wary of the press.

I finally got to meet my Grandpa Tom and Lisa this week. That was a lot of fun. Here we are:
