Urban Baby

My dad has taught me to navigate urban life in so many ways. But some things I just pick up on my own. For example, I now insist (and I mean INSIST) that we put in the side view mirrors - on BOTH sides of the car. I mean, you can't be too careful.

Mission Accomplished.

Now its time to go enjoy this beautiful autumn day in Brooklyn, New York.

OLE!

I only know a few words in Espanol. But I do know one thing.... Me gustan tacos!!

Here I am having the carne asado taco at Tacos Xochimilco in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

Dang, that sure beats pureed squash!! Glad Mom stopped making that for me!!

Gracias!

Central Park Zoo

The Central Park Zoo is the place to be on a rainy day with your crazy Uncle Eli.

And that cool thing in the background. My parents keep saying Sea Lion but it doesn't look like any lion I've ever seen.

New York (City) Hiking

For those of you that know the city of my birth, you know its pretty awesome. Great nightlife, amazing restaurants, super playgrounds and, well, that crashing sound you are hearing is Wall Street.

But what some of you don't know is that NYC is also a place of beauty. From Prospect Park where I live and go almost every day to some pretty weird areas that have some pretty neat stuff. Beauty in New York is relative. Its not the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve in Alaska (nor is it Wasilla, Alaska -- sorry, I know I am not yet 2 and can't vote yet...)

We went hiking recently in Queens to one of the great flyways of shorebird migration. Here I am with my dad. He is looking for birds. Saw an osprey and some common ducks and geese.

I, um, was very, um, excited. Can we go now?

I am in Debt

$4.10

I owe money to the Brooklyn Public Library.
Can you believe this?

Is 19 months too young to worry about my credit score?
